A remarkable solo comeback from the American indie rock legend...
'Here We Go Crazy' marks Bob Mould’s 15th solo album since the release of 'Workbook' in 1989. He consistently delivers unfiltered truths, no matter how difficult they may be to accept. The title track serves as an anthem infused with Sugar-like sounds, followed by the intensely thrashy 'Neanderthal', which reflects Mould's unsettling upbringing. With 11 tracks packed into 30 minutes, this album harks back to Hüsker Dü, featuring slightly less guitar distortion.
Inspired by the phenomenon of people becoming absorbed in their phones and the resulting issues of depression and addiction, ‘Lost Or Stolen’ showcases Mould’s inner Ian Curtis vocally. However, the album also contains some uplifting moments and celebrates unconditional love in songs like ‘Thread So Thin’ and ‘Your Side’.
