Scottish producer Barry Can’t Swim returns with a new track titled ‘The Person You’d Like To Be’.

The Edinburgh-born artist released his monumental debut album ‘When Will We Land?’ in 2023, propelling his career forward rapidly. He received a BRIT nomination, was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, created a sensation at Glastonbury, and sold out London’s O2 Academy Brixton on three occasions.

The new track ‘The Person You’d Like To Be’ serves as a refreshing change, introducing a new direction. Featuring vocals from producer and spoken word artist Seamus, the track plays with concepts of identity and sincerity in a world that often lacks honesty.

Drawing inspiration from the electronic sounds of his youth, the track gives Barry Can’t Swim the opportunity to explore new musical territories.

As the track observes, “there is nothing permanent, except change” – listen to it below.
