The alt-duo Nova Twins are set to release their new album, ‘Parasites & Butterflies’, on August 29th.
Their impressive debut album illuminated 2020 by merging intense alternative sounds with striking electronics. The follow-up in 2022, ‘Supernova’, elevated their status even further, and now they are preparing for their third album.
Scheduled for release on August 29th, ‘Parasites & Butterflies’ marks a bold progression as Nova Twins fully embrace their identity.
The duo explains…
“‘Parasites & Butterflies’ explores the connection between chaos and beauty, recognizing and accepting both aspects. While ‘Supernova’ focused on being superhuman in a time of need, we aimed to highlight something profoundly human with ‘Parasites & Butterflies’: the idea that vulnerability can be just as empowering as it is revealing in its authenticity. By contrasting light and dark, the album creates a sense of disparity. You'll discover tracks that inspire dancing, crying, introspection, or even escapism. Life is a continuous balancing act, but the excitement of the unknown is what makes us feel truly alive.”
Available for pre-order now and set to drop on August 29th, the record comes with the newly released track ‘Soprano’, a powerful preview of their upcoming LP.
The band describes the song…
“‘Soprano’ honors the strength of women, particularly when we come together. The industry often pits women against one another and silences their voices globally. But we're still shouting from the rooftops! This song is intended to empower, foster connections, and encourage friendship while spreading ‘boss energy’ and uplifting one another.”
