Scottish indie favorites Idlewild have announced their first UK tour in six years.
The band continues to be a beloved project, with their 2019 album ‘Interview Music’ demonstrating that their creative energy is still strong. Fronted by vocalist Roddy Woomble, guitarist Rod Jones, and drummer Colin Newton, the revamped lineup includes multi-instrumentalists Andrew Mitchell on bass and Luciano Rossi on keyboards.
This year, Idlewild will hit the road again, kicking off at Newcastle’s Boiler Shop on October 10th.
The tour will take them to Leeds, Wolverhampton, Cambridge, and Bristol, culminating in a performance at London’s KOKO on October 17th.
The tour will conclude at Glasgow’s renowned Barrowland Ballroom on December 7th. The tour dates naturally raise expectations for new music, especially as it marks 20 years since the release of Idlewild’s album ‘Warnings / Promises’.
Tickets for Idlewild’s UK tour will go on sale on Friday (March 14th) at 10am through https://gigst.rs/Idlewild.
