Scottish musician Constant Follower has released his latest album, ‘The Smile You Send Out Returns To You.’

Known by his real name, Stephen McAll, the artist tackles some of the more somber elements of his experiences, yet infuses them with light and compassion. After receiving various accolades, including a nomination for the SAY Award, Constant Follower’s new album bridges his life between Stirling and Austin, Texas.

A collection revolving around themes of healing and elevation, ‘The Smile You Send Out Returns To You’ showcases Constant Follower's instinctual songwriting while also capturing nuanced details.

Discussing his creative process, he states: “My songwriting approach is very solitary. I sit down with a guitar and a blank piece of paper, and I begin to sing. The emergence of songs feels akin to navigating a dark country road at night—you have a sense of direction, but the exact path is unclear. It feels as if you’re being led.”

Released through Last Night From Glasgow, the album is making a significant impact on all who encounter it. You can listen to it below or see Constant Follower perform at Glasgow’s Music From Big Blue on March 16th.
