London-based quartet Speedial has released their latest single, "Tourist."
The band's sound is intriguing, striking a balance between straightforward and intricate; they blend elements of shoegaze and noise rock with unexpected, almost baroque twists, evoking the fusion of Ride and Black Country, New Road.
Out now, "Tourist" explores various musical directions. Constructed thoughtfully, it highlights the dual vocals of Serena and Millie, merging the intense drumming of Joe with the expressive saxophone of Monarch.

“When I feel guilty about something, I tend to get quite dramatic and it's easy to spiral into thinking that a single bad choice makes others view you negatively. Writing down all that negativity was cathartic, helping me realize that it doesn’t really represent who I am. I wanted the lyrics to be somewhat bleak and straightforward. I often find myself using flowery language and making my lyrics complex and hard to interpret, but for this song, I didn’t want to conceal myself in that way.”
