This acclaimed composer is an essential member of the Erased Tapes collective, consistently pushing boundaries throughout his body of work.
Scheduled for release on July 4th, the album includes 14 tracks that explore themes of time and memory. In a statement, he notes: “There is a kind of strange beauty to it because it intertwines the past, present, and future in a very profound way…”
The lively essence of the new song ‘Catherine’ – which he dedicates to his partner – serves as an ideal introduction, infused with the gentle optimism of spring.
Reflecting on its creation, Rival Consoles shares: “It’s very open, simply a bare melody over drums, so vulnerable as a concept… I think because she was so enthusiastic about it, I realized, ‘Oh, yes, I'm excited too, I just didn't recognize it before…’”
“I came across this sketch of melodic ideas that I developed many years ago. The title is inspired by the person who helped me see in that moment that this idea had something unique that deserved to be revisited.”
