Josh Baker has introduced his new label, Baker’s Dozen.
The rave artist is set to unveil a new platform, with the cleverly named Baker’s Dozen poised to become a center for fresh music, featuring both his works and those of his colleagues.
Meant to convey his perspective on rave culture, Josh takes the lead with the new single ‘Back It Up’.
Now available, the track has been shared with a select group of well-known DJs, including Chris Stussy, Solomun, Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, MK, and Prospa, and it's already turned into an anthem, generating numerous track ID requests across various platforms.
Created in collaboration with Omar+, the single brims with festival energy and is crafted for those exhilarating peak moments.
Regarding the release, Josh Baker expresses:
“I’m launching my 2025 releases with a bang—marking the beginning of my new label. It’s time for Back It Up.”
On how the collaboration came to be, Omar+ reveals:
“My friend Bianca, who provided vocals for some of Josh’s tracks, invited me to his show in London. It was an incredible performance, and I got to meet Josh afterward. The following day, I sent him some music that he enjoyed—‘Back It Up’ caught his attention, and he asked for the stems. He revamped the beat, incorporating some of my synths, and within a day, we had a hit. Soon after, I started seeing videos of Josh playing our track and the crowd going wild—truly a surreal experience…”
