‘New Knew’ unites Hector Plimmer with renowned producer and musician Andrew Ashong, as they embody the joyful essence of love.
With a blend of sounds, the Sun Ra-inspired ambiance transitions into a heartfelt expression of devotion: “A re-velation, a re-view, a re-membering, a re-minder, a re-birth. A new knew.”
The song reflects Hector’s fluid approach to music, as both artists layer sounds together.
Hector shares, “It’s been an enlightening experience to revisit the tracks over time and update them based on my lived experiences. With each new revision, I have discovered something more about my creative process and have infused my current self into the music, while preserving my previous influences.”
