Adrian Quesada and Angélica Garcia collaborate on the new single ‘No Juego’.
Adrian Quesada, co-founder of Black Pumas, is stepping out on his own once again, working on the follow-up to his critically acclaimed album ‘Boleros Psicodélicos’. Continuing his tribute to the Latin sounds of the late 60s and early 70s, the upcoming (and aptly named) ‘Boleros Psicodélicos’ is set to be an intriguing listen.
Released now, ‘No Juego’ serves as an excellent example of immersive world-building, with its captivating arrangement elevating guest vocalist Angélica Garcia to ethereal heights.
Accompanied by a mesmerizing video, ‘No Juego’ exudes a soulful clarity that acknowledges its psychedelic roots while also standing as a unique creation.
“Adrian pays exceptional attention to detail. His albums possess a warmth that I truly appreciate,” states Angélica Garcia. “‘No Juego’ is such a theatrical and intense song. I'm thankful that Adrian maintained the song's intensity, and I'm pleased he didn’t ask me to tone it down. Sometimes, you just need to be straightforward and express yourself.”
