LVRA and Soda Plains unite for their new EP ‘Fortress’.
Now available, the EP showcases the talents of Chinese-Scottish artist LVRA alongside the globally-inspired Soda Plains.
The duo convened in Berlin a few months ago, where their discussions sparked a flow of creative ideas.
The complete EP is now released on Eastern Margins, featuring the popular track ‘Hard Decisions’ and the deeply emotional ‘Crushed’. This project is definitely worth a listen – it offers somber yet exploratory electronics, enhanced by their melodic expertise.
LVRA and Soda Plains share their thoughts…
Our goal was to create music that resonated with us, something that seems increasingly challenging in today's environment. Working together allowed us to express some of that tension in a limitless way.
Individually, we had absorbed numerous ideas from our solo endeavors about various approaches to writing and living, so we isolated ourselves for a few days in Berlin to craft the demos for ‘Fortress’. While the studio serves as our safe space, we strive for liberation within it.
Tune in now.
