Jacqui has released her new single ‘fries, bb’ through Beeline Records.

Inspired by her early experiences in neo-soul, the emerging artist showcases her production and songwriting in this smooth and quirky track. A blend of grooves and glitches, ‘fries, bb’ reflects Jacqui’s playful approach to her art, transporting her vocal performance into a psychedelic space.

After debuting with the ‘Birthday’ EP in 2022, Jacqui has continued to solidify her vibrant sound among new audiences. Originally from South Korea and raised in China, she has absorbed influences from her surroundings and now spends a significant amount of time in the United States. A nomadic artist driven by creative curiosity and a lifelong admiration for Erykah Badu, Jacqui has recently toured across Australia and performed at SXSW and Bangkok Music City in Thailand.

Currently, she is preparing for a series of performances at The Great Escape, offering a glimpse into her next phase with her latest release. Regarding the lyrics of the track, Jacqui shares: “‘fries, bb’ is set in a late-night burger shop, where I order food even when I'm not hungry, simply to enjoy more time with the person beside me.” She adds, “I aimed to create a direct and assertive (in an endearing way!) sound that runs throughout the entire song, reflecting the message I intend to convey.”
