Since the establishment of her label Dauntless Records in 2023, HELANG has taken full creative control while pushing the boundaries of electronic music. She recently organized the second edition of her female-only event series in Brooklyn, reinforcing her commitment to fostering inclusive spaces in the scene. Her unwavering productions have garnered support from electronic music's top names, including Maceo Plex, Marco Faraone, Richie Hawtin, and Joseph Capriati, along with recognition from prominent media outlets such as DJ Mag, Forbes, Beatportal, and Mixmag Brasil.
As HELANG continues to rise among the most exciting talents in techno, she remains passionate about expressing her authentic self and cultural heritage, challenging conventions and inspiring a new generation of artists. With each release and performance, she exemplifies the integrity, passion, and fearless spirit that define her artistic identity. Her latest single, “Hits Different,” highlights HELANG’s characteristic fusion of deep, driving rhythms and atmospheric sounds, further solidifying her reputation as an innovative force in the underground electronic scene.
“AAPI Heritage Month is meaningful to me as it encourages me to be kind to myself, celebrate my journey, and unapologetically embrace my strength,” says Helang. “As the daughter of first-generation immigrant parents, my upbringing was anything but calm. Looking back, I am grateful that my experiences have shaped me into the empathetic and emotionally intelligent creative I am today. I hope all my fellow Asian American artists can take pride in themselves not just during this month but beyond it as well.”
