Kathryn Joseph has released a new track titled ‘WOLF.’ – listen now.
The Scottish singer-songwriter's fourth album, ‘WE WERE MADE PREY,’ will be available on May 30th, published by her long-time label, Rock Action Records.
The album was recorded in the stunning and evocative Black Bay Studios on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides last winter, continuing her creative collaboration with producer Lomond Campbell.
The new track ‘WOLF.’ pulsates with intense energy, embodying a lingering paranoia infused with anxiety; the buzzing electronics envelop Kathryn’s voice as she expresses an evocation of animalistic change.
A profoundly cathartic piece of songwriting, ‘WOLF.’ showcases Kathryn Joseph confronting her primal instincts.
“This was the first song I wrote for the album, and it felt like I was just releasing all of this desire,” she shares. “‘WOLF.’ represents want, shame, need, and blood. Understanding that it is all that exists. And that you have no clue what or who comes next, which is both terrifying and beautiful.”
