Jerskin Fendrix makes his return with the new release ‘Sk1’.
The British artist has crafted a distinct sound, with his celebrated debut album ‘Winterreise’ in 2020 blending post-rock ambiance, sharp electronics, and evocative melodies.
Since that time, Jerskin has gained notable recognition as a film composer, recently working on various scores for Yorgos Lanthimos. His work on Poor Things received BAFTA, Oscar, and Golden Globe nominations, along with winning Film Composer of the Year and Discovery of the Year awards at the 2024 World Soundtrack Awards.
The new track ‘Sk1’ sees Jerskin reconnecting with his roots, as the gritty post-punk layers entwine with each other. It stands out as an impressive comeback, feeling less like a new beginning and more like an ongoing journey, reflecting this inquisitive artist’s natural progression.
Available now in digital format, ‘Sk1’ will soon be released as a limited 12” vinyl, which will include an exclusive B-side only offered with the physical edition – available for pre-order now.
