The Johannesburg singer-songwriter adds a unique charm to pop-rock...
Ross Learmonth has made a remarkable return with his new single ‘Opposites.’
This uplifting track, created straight from the heart, showcases the Johannesburg artist's quirky and captivating performance, highlighting the changing dynamics of love. Accompanied by a complete ensemble featuring smooth guitars, piano, synths, drums, and bass, the song boasts a refined, polished production.
Since starting his solo career in 2019, Ross Learmonth has crafted his own DIY style of pop music, drawing from his earlier rock influences. In the past year, he has performed alongside Mafikizolo at Kirstenbosch Gardens and presented his work at the RMB Starlight Classics showcase, preparing for a series of live performances in the coming months.
Regarding his new song, Ross Learmonth explains: “The song was loosely inspired by my parents’ relationship and my own experiences with love and life. While it's not always the case, sometimes opposites attract and bring out the best... and the worst in each other.”
