Irish artist For Those I Love has released his latest single, 'Of The Sorrows'.

This project serves as a platform for Dublin producer, visual artist, and songwriter David Balfe, who received widespread acclaim for his self-titled debut in 2021.

Blending club-inspired electronics with evocative spoken word, For Those I Love won the Choice Prize, and a subsequent remix by Overmono heavily influenced clubs throughout the summer of 2021.

After taking a moment to reassess, his new single 'Of The Sorrows' is now available, showcasing For Those I Love's reflections on the trajectory of his life.

With its haunting declaration, “I have to live…”, the vibrant electronics transition between light and darkness, culminating in an open-ended finale that highlights his voice.

      The Dublin artist shares…

When I composed ‘Of The Sorrows’, it felt like I was negotiating with myself. It was among the first songs I wrote for myself while trying to express the sentiments and thoughts of my closest friends. At its core, ‘Of The Sorrows’ addresses a city that is increasingly isolating you, and the decisions one makes to remain connected. I began filming the video for ‘Of The Sorrows’ on Christmas Day. I invested several hundred hours, dealt with a broken hard drive (which meant starting over), lost my patience, and even fractured a leg on the final day of filming. But I could accept that trade. It felt rewarding to inject so much life into a project about a city in decline.
