WOMBO has released a new single titled ‘Danger In Fives’.
The band originates from Louisville, a city in Kentucky known for its fiercely independent DIY scene. Its quietly creative atmosphere makes it an ideal location for the group, whose approach reinterprets art-rock conventions in innovative ways.
Their upcoming album is scheduled for release on August 8th, and WOMBO will embark on a rare headline tour in the UK this November.
The new single ‘Danger In Fives’ features a compelling crunch, with a repetitive beat reflecting a sharp minimalism. Sydney Chadwick (bass/vocals), Cameron Lowe (guitar), and Joel Taylor (drums) generate a sound that exceeds their individual contributions.
Regarding the song, Sydney explains: “‘Danger in Fives’ relates to loops and cycles and the comfort I find in walking through a peddlers' mall.”
