As a major tour approaches, Robbie Williams has revealed information about a new album. Titled ‘BRITPOP’, the album showcases artwork based on a now-famous photograph of him from Glastonbury in 1995 and is scheduled for release this autumn. He has premiered its first track, ‘Rocket’, featuring Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi on guitar, and shared the following thoughts (which, to be honest, captivated us from the very first line): “I aimed to create the album I wished to write and release after leaving Take That in 1995. It was the height of Britpop and a golden era for British music. I collaborated with some of my idols for this album; it’s gritty, more guitar-driven, and even more uplifting and anthemic than usual. There’s a touch of ‘Brit’ and definitely some ‘pop’ as well - I take immense pride in this collection of work and I’m thrilled for fans to experience this album. I’m also eager to perform a song or two from it on my forthcoming ‘BRITPOP’ tour, which will kick off in the UK, of course.” His UK tour dates are as follows:
MAY 31 - Edinburgh, Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium
JUNE 6 - London, Emirates Stadium
JUNE 7 - London, Emirates Stadium
JUNE 10 - Manchester, Co-Op Live
JUNE 11 - Manchester, Co-Op Live
JUNE 13 - Bath, Royal Crescent
JUNE 14 - Bath, Royal Crescent
AUGUST 20 - Newcastle, Come Together.
They are also embarking on a tour after the launch of their new album, 'onion'.
The track is part of the upcoming album 'More.'
The singer-songwriter's fourth album comes after last year's 'Found Heaven'.
The album comes after the Mercury-shortlisted 'Skin' from 2021.
Christian Music, This Is The Deep, Tough Cookie, and Y are all scheduled to perform.
Jalen Ngonda, Katy J Pearson, Panic Shack, and Divorce are included in the lineup of performers scheduled for this November.
