Bisexual vegans with a heart of gold, Joe & The Shitboys have joined Alcopop! Records, and their new album ‘Greatest Shits’ is set for release on August 29th.
This compilation serves as a summary of the band’s work to date, featuring three albums on one disc, each lasting only 10 minutes.
In addition, there will be some brand new singles included, with frontman Joe sharing how it all started…
On a snowy day, I was approached to create a goofy one-off punk single titled ‘The Reson For Hardcore Vibes’ with a group called Joe & The Shitboys—and I was to be Joe. What began as a joke turned out to be something amazing, leading us to tackle conservative values and various jerks in the Faroe Islands, inviting the rest of the world to join if they wished.
After releasing three ‘Reson For Hardcore Vibes’ albums on 7” vinyl, I’m excited to present our first LP: ‘GREATEST SHITS.’ This greatest hits album happens to encompass all three albums, and we’re including a brand new EP as well. ‘DAM.’ was recorded on analog in Amsterdam and represents our most ambitious effort yet, exploring new themes and addressing new issues. Hopefully, we’re done with reasons for hardcore vibes now.
Joe & The Shitboys will tour this summer, having received a personal invitation from Iggy Pop to support him on his UK headline tour – the Stooges legend is a fan and frequently champions the Faroese band on his outstanding 6Music show.
