Nick Mulvey has announced plans for a new album titled ‘Dark Harvest – Pt. 1.’
This upcoming record marks the songwriter's first release in three years, following his 2022 album ‘New Mythology’. Set to be released this summer, Nick Mulvey’s new LP will be supported by an extensive nationwide tour, including two performances at Union Chapel in London.
‘Dark Harvest – Pt. 1’ aims to explore and process grief; navigating various stages of loss, these experiences have driven Nick Mulvey to new heights of resilience.
He shares…
“For me, Dark Harvest Pt. 1 chronicles the descent and grief I experienced over the last three years during the losses and challenges I encountered. These years have been quite harsh, yet they have also softened me, as I know they have for others. Creating this music helped me through.”
The album is set to release on June 6th and is led by the impactful new single ‘River To The Real’. This emotionally resonant song is now available for streaming and serves as a poignant reflection of the album's overall spirit.
“’River To The Real’ is an invitation to stand bare before our Creator and to let go of our fears regarding others' opinions,” the songwriter explains. “We often believe we are in search of God, but I wonder if perhaps He is the one seeking us. Are we truly available for Him, or are we too preoccupied? Are we hiding and escaping from our emotions and the truth?”
He adds, “During my toughest moments, when I was at my lowest, a friend told me, ‘there will be a ‘dark harvest’ from all of this, Nick. There will be treasure born of these struggles.’ And she was right.”
