London-based duo Lavender have released their new album ‘we’re having a barn dance’ in its entirety.
The pair – Oskar Rice and Adam Jackson – have been friends since childhood, bonded by their mutual love for indie songwriting and unconventional electronic production. Their early track ‘peppermint’ gained viral popularity, featuring a smooth, Dilla-inspired groove that was both refreshing and melodically rich.
Following their debut EP, Lavender embarked on a creative journey. The recording sessions for their new album began in the French countryside and were later wrapped up in their London studio, which is situated behind a LIDL in Limehouse, incidentally.
Out now on Night Time Stories, the album showcases their refreshing sound while also enhancing their musical depth.
