Curtis Harding has announced his new album ‘Departures & Arrivals: Adventures of Captain Curt’.
The American songwriter is working on the follow-up to his highly praised 2021 album ‘If Words Were Flowers’.
Set to release on September 5th, ‘Departures & Arrivals: Adventures of Captain Curt’ was self-produced at Electric Deluxe Recorders, a studio in Austin owned by Adrian Quesada of Black Pumas.
In terms of lyrics, Curtis Harding explores his experiences of life on tour and the feelings of disconnection that arise. Music became a way for him to stay grounded and to navigate through moments of alienation.
“Since I’m away from home so much, a lot of these songs emerged from feelings of being lost and a desire to return to the people I care about,” he mentions in a press release. “I began to imagine this character who embarks on a journey and finds himself lost in space, eventually traveling through different galaxies and dimensions in his quest to return home.”
A new track titled ‘True Love Can’t Be Blind’ is available now, showcasing a beautiful, uplifting, and deceptively simple melody.
