Dutch singer-songwriter Judy Blank has released her new single ‘Toy Heart’.
Available now, it offers a glimpse of her upcoming album ‘Big Mood’, set to be released on August 22nd. The album was produced and recorded by Blank’s longtime collaborator Roy van Rosendaal (known for work with Snarky Puppy and Bombay) at Studio Ruisendaal, nestled in the woods just outside Utrecht, Netherlands. The record radiates with vibrancy and energy.
Now based in Nashville, Judy Blank blends indie pop with subtle elements of Americana, propelled by her love for melody.
Her new single ‘Toy Heart’ is a lively, summer-inspired track that sparkles with joyful energy.
“I’m a very practical lover,” Blank explains. “For example, if I let you borrow my cherished ’95 Jeep Cherokee, it signifies my trust in you. It’s as if I’m hoping that a small act could change the narrative. It usually doesn’t, but in that moment, it feels like it just might, which is sometimes enough for me to stick around.”
