Goat Girl has announced their new EP titled ‘Below The Waste – Orchestrated’.
The South London band made their return last year with the intriguing 16-track album ‘Below The Waste’. Constantly pushing their creative boundaries, each project from Goat Girl feels unique, occupying its own space.
The new EP ‘Below The Waste – Orchestrated’ offers a fresh perspective on four tracks from the album, approached from a novel angle.
Recorded and mixed at Total Refreshment Centre by Syd Kemp (caroline, Thurston Moore) and mastered by Harvel Birrell (Lankum, black midi), the arrangements were crafted by Goat Girl. They performed live with a DIY chamber ensemble that included Aga Ujma and Slow Cooked.
Scheduled for release soon, the EP begins with ‘sleep talk (chamber ensemble)’ – a stunning interpretation that extracts fresh nuances from Goat Girl’s songwriting.
The release includes an intimately filmed video of the session by Mateo Villanueva Brandt and Conrad Magan.
Take a look at ‘sleep talk (chamber ensemble)’ below.
‘Below The Waste – Orchestrated’ is set to be released on June 18th.
