The Dutch band Pip Blom has released their latest five-track EP titled ‘Grip’.
The band has undergone significant changes; leaving Heavenly Recordings on amicable terms, they are now fully stepping into their independent phase, with vocalist Pip Blom also expressing some challenging personal experiences.
The group – Pip Blom, Tender Blom, and Darek Mercks – entered the studio to further develop the synth-pop sound of their well-received album ‘Bobbie’.
Now available, ‘Grip’ is a five-song EP that showcases their openness to experimentation as well as Pip Blom’s passion for melody.
The singer shares…
“I’ve had a tough year with many challenging events in my personal life. During this time, I began to realize how much I yearned to find some sort of stability. It's hard to deal with this overwhelming feeling of searching for something to cling to, as, unfortunately, we all know, that's not really achievable. Life is full of unpredictability.”
This summer, Pip Blom will be performing in the UK with three shows, including Bristol’s Strange Brew (July 23rd), Manchester’s White Hotel (July 24th), and London’s Corsica Studios (July 25th).
