The top restaurants, bars, and attractions in Madrid to explore during the Mad Cool Festival in 2025.

Planning to attend this year's renowned Spanish festival? Here are some essential spots you should include on your itinerary.

      11th June 2025

The Mad Cool Festival not only boasts an exhilarating line-up for the summer (featuring Olivia Rodrigo, Nine Inch Nails, Iggy Pop, and the latest addition of Muse among the headliners), but it is also held in one of Spain's most dynamic cities, making the capital an unmissable destination for food, drink, and cultural experiences. There’s no better way to enjoy a few days than strolling through the city, tasting tapas and cervezas, and engaging in some vintage shopping in the sunshine, all before an exciting night of music from the likes of Gracie Abrams, Weezer, St Vincent, and FINNEAS. To make your experience even more enjoyable, we've consulted several Madrid locals, including Lala Hayden, Chlöe’s Clue, and the festival organizers, to share their recommendations on the best venues to visit before and after the festival. So, if a Mediterranean-themed long weekend is appealing to you this summer, don't hesitate! Secure your tickets to Mad Cool on their website now, and prepare to book your flights!
