After a remarkable year of ‘Sessions’ — the intimate acoustic series that has become a vital part of London’s underground scene, the creative collective Bread and Butter is raising the bar with the Shutter Sessions all-day Festival, which will be curated and hosted alongside the emerging talent Virtuo.
This intimate music festival will take over their East London studio space, highlighting some of the most promising new talents in the scene. Running from 12 PM to 12 AM, this extended edition is more than just a concert — it’s a movement. Over the last year, Shutter Sessions has emerged as a hub for discovery, supporting grassroots talent and fostering an authentic scene through acoustic performances and open mic sessions.
This all-day celebration expands on the concept with over 30 artists and DJs performing throughout the day and into the night, representing both eager grassroots talent and more established emerging stars. The sole requirement is that they are all pursuing a career in music.
Virtuo remarked, “Our goal is to showcase artists that we genuinely believe in and think deserve a wider platform to share their talents, no matter where they are in their journey. We’ve created a space where individuals can be their true selves — without gimmicks or inflated egos. Just sound, soul, and community.”
Ben from Bread and Butter added, “We aim to provide a platform for creatives across various genres. We all have aspirations, and breaking into the arts and media industries can be challenging. We received considerable help to reach where we are today, so we want to support, give back, and spotlight as much talent as possible.”
Additionally, as the sun sets, a surprise headliner will take the stage to illuminate the night — you won't want to miss it. This event is entirely free, operating on an RSVP system to enhance exposure and foster their community ethos, making the day as inclusive as possible.
Clash Magazine is supporting this movement, helping to bring attention to the initiative and the artists involved. Catering will be provided by Bread and Butter in collaboration with 'Mar De Mole,' who will be offering food throughout the day.
Our spaces have transformed into hubs of collaboration and expression across all art forms. For this event, we will convert our photography studio into a performance venue, featuring cinematic visuals and a distinctive hanging mic setup, all recorded to support the artists long after the event concludes. Numerous videographers and photographers will be present to capture the magic.
This is your invitation to be part of something unique — a gathering where ambition meets authenticity, and every performance is significant.
