Royel Otis is set to release their new album ‘hickey’ on August 22nd.
This announcement comes just a year after the duo – Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic – debuted their first album, ‘PRATTS & PAIN’, which was released in February 2024.
In our review rated 8/10, Clash remarked:
Royel Otis introduces a fresh level of indie pop sensibilities that sets their sound apart. Why worry about anxieties and imperfections when they contribute to one's character? It's akin to encountering your soulmate on a beach, only to watch them get carried away by the undertow during one last wave. Disturbing yet poetic.
The new album ‘hickey’ will be available on August 22nd, with the lead single ‘moody’ currently streaming.
Available for pre-order now, Royel Otis explains the album title:
“…because love bites harder than any other emotion in the world.”
