      Released on May 23rd via Edenic Records, Yours Always marks Aaron Taylor's foray into new territory while remaining true to his essence. Written entirely on guitar – a departure from his typical piano-focused style – the EP emphasizes presence over polish, highlighting feelings, storytelling, and space. Moving slightly away from his previous neo-soul influences, this seven-track collection taps into indie and singer/songwriter sounds while maintaining the warmth of his voice and the intimacy of his perspective. Each song feels intentional and lived-in – a musical letter crafted with care, clarity, and profound emotional honesty.

      “Yours Always is a compilation of songs that felt like letters to different people in my life, from various times in my life. I envision them as letters that listeners might stumble upon, yet are welcomed to read,” Taylor shares with Atwood Magazine. “There wasn’t a specific vision, but I definitely aimed to showcase growth as a writer. Typically, I’ve been quite entrenched in the neo-soul genre, and this shifts a bit from that.”

      He adds, “I’ve always wanted my music to feel like a comforting embrace after a long day. Yours Always achieves this in ways I’ve explored before but also prioritizes the song. It’s less about catchy hooks or specific vibes that might fit well in a playlist, and more about the essence of the song. The concept is that the song and its sentiment take precedence. Historically, I think I’ve been more captivated by crafting the perfect catchy loop, and now I’m focusing more on capturing my mood in a moment and letting that be the focal point.”

      Whereas his 2023 EP, HAVE A NICE DAY, emphasized enjoying life’s simple moments through lush production, vibrant melodies, and rich harmonies, Yours Always conveys life’s fleeting instances through a stripped-down, less-is-more approach. The resulting music is no less impactful than its predecessors.

      Taylor lovingly describes Yours Always as personal, reflective, and sincere. “There’s something about this phrase that resonates with me,” he notes regarding the title. “It’s a simple sign-off yet it holds profound significance. To belong to someone forever. We understand it’s somewhat impossible, yet we still use it. It’s dedicated to my loved ones and embodies my desire to remain a constant for them, despite change.”

      Musically and emotionally, Yours Always is as vulnerable as it is restrained – a subtle, stirring testament to love, longing, and the ache of human connection. The album is enriched with notable moments, stretching from the endearing opener “Across My Mind” to the soothing closer, “When I’m Finally Done.”

      “Across My Mind” serves as the EP’s mission statement – a sincere letter sung aloud to someone who may never hear it, yet delivered with heartfelt intent. Its bright, acoustic arrangement is charmingly simple, allowing Taylor’s voice and lyrics to shine. This intimacy sets the tone for the entire record, inviting listeners into a realm of tenderness and vulnerability. “You just ran across my mind / So I thought I’d take the time / To see how you’re doing,” he tenderly sings, reaching out to someone from afar, uncertain of their closeness but affirming of his care.
