Eleven emerging artists from the UK and beyond are set to participate in the Roundhouse’s Resident Artist programme for 2025/26, with support from Chilly’s.
Each year, the UK’s premier event space and talent incubator opens its doors to a group of young artists aged 18-25, providing them with a platform for their creative endeavors.
The musicians selected for the 2025/26 Roundhouse Resident Artists include Emmeline, YAZ, Hana Amaya, TobitheFreak, lulu melons, and Carδamo. Additionally, spoken-word artists Thea and MyselfBlaize will join alongside poet and dancer Rosie Robertson, as well as theatremakers Santi Tonauas Castro and Eliezer Gore.
Throughout their tenure at the Roundhouse, the Resident Artists will gain exceptional support in establishing sustainable creative careers. This includes personalized creative mentoring, free access to studio and rehearsal spaces, networking opportunities with top industry professionals, and paid performance chances on iconic stages nationwide, including the Roundhouse itself.
Members of this new cohort have previously participated in the Roundhouse’s youth initiatives, such as utilizing the Creative Studios Membership for rehearsal spaces, instruments, and recording equipment. The incoming Resident Artists have also taken part in the Roundhouse Poetry Slam, served on the Roundhouse Youth Advisory Board, and performed in the Roundhouse’s Studio Theatre.
This year's cohort becomes a part of an esteemed alumni network that includes BAFTA-winning writer Jack Rooke (of Channel 4’s Big Boys). Recent examples include 2023/24 Resident Artists Hohnen Ford, who recently toured as the opening act for FINNEAS, and Amy Gadiaga, who received a MOBO Award nomination for her debut album. Additionally, 2024/25 Resident Artist Marla Kether performed bass for Little Simz on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in 2024.

Jack Prideaux, Associate Creative Producer at the Roundhouse, remarked: “It’s fantastic to welcome this incredible group of artists to the programme this year. The recruitment process is always one of the year's highlights – discovering new and exciting artists while continuing to support those who have come through other Roundhouse programmes. I eagerly look forward to seeing what they will accomplish in the coming year and beyond.”
Emmeline, an incoming Roundhouse Resident Artist, expressed: “What has always impressed me about the Roundhouse is their commitment to nurturing multiple facets of young creativity. Since my work encompasses speech, song, and poetry, I was eager to join a programme that acknowledges the essential connections between these practices and the balancing act required of early career artists in London. I’m thrilled to work on my live show and integrate all aspects of my creativity into my professional output, alongside a remarkable collective of talent.”
Geo Aghinea, a 2024/25 Roundhouse Resident Artist, shared: “This programme has been transformative for me as an artist and essential for my creative career advancement. With masterclasses and free rehearsal spaces, it has also given me the opportunity to play with Tom Odell, an experience I would have only dreamed of years ago. Shortly after, they showcased us music residents at The Great Escape, one of the largest music festivals in the UK. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and would do it again in a heartbeat.”
Pavel Davison, Brand & Collaborations Manager at Chilly’s, stated: “We are extremely proud to support the Roundhouse’s Resident Artist programme, which allows young creative artists to thrive in an increasingly challenging environment. The diverse range of genre-blending talents in this year’s cohort is a true reflection of the next generation of artists' creativity, as well as the Roundhouse’s dedication to fostering the creative community. We are excited to see what the coming year holds for them.”
