Nashville-based artist Sherwyn has released his new single, ‘Lizzy Lizzy.’
After collaborating with Samara Cyn on ‘Pop n Olive’ this Spring, Sherwyn kicks off a new chapter with the vibrant, new wave-inspired track ‘Lizzy Lizzy’ – reminiscent of Nourished By Time, Paris Texas, and Tame Impala.
Sherwyn co-wrote the hit ‘The Door’ by Teddy Swims and later joined him on tour. He has also written and produced for artists such as Tkay Maidza, Duckwrth, Amber Mark, and others.
Originally from Brooklyn and raised in Nashville by parents from Barbados, Sherwyn was surrounded by the lively sounds of soca, reggae, Marvin Gaye, and the rap and rock of the MTV era – including Wu-Tang Clan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shania Twain, Radiohead, Sugar Ray, and The Cranberries.
As one of the few Black kids in Nashville, Sherwyn found comfort and inspiration in his unique creative expressions. He learned to produce music on GarageBand and later on Ableton, experimenting with electronic sounds while playing in a jam band with his twin brother.
