Our aim is for listeners to experience genuine love, true passion, authentic musicianship, real instruments, and honest song craft. We want to revive that special magic and elevate the musical standard.

It only takes a single track to become enamored with We the Band.

With their inaugural release, "One & Only," this five-member supergroup – formed onstage with Justin Bieber and strengthened through a decade of touring – makes a powerful first impression: A funky, soulful allure driven by deep grooves, dazzling solos, and exceptional chemistry. This is a track that demands attention, steadily raising the energy with every beat. From its rich bass lines to its sparkling guitars and vibrant synths, "One & Only" radiates confidence and charm – a vivid expression of feeling, sound, and remarkable musicianship.

Just as Dylan had The Band, and Bieber has We the Band – these musicians are ready to step into the spotlight!

“Brand new diamond that I’ve never seen

You give me wing, baby, to my knees

You give me, mm, baby, somethin’ sweet, mm

And yeah, you rare, you another breed

I bet God wonders where you are.”

Composed of five exceptional musicians – Harv (bass), Tay James (DJ), Julian Michael (guitar), Devon “Stixx” Taylor (drums), and Dr. O (keyboards) – We the Band honed their skills as the backbone of Bieber’s Purpose and Justice World Tours, before deciding to forge their own path together. Individually, they have collaborated with heavyweights like Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Post Malone, and Mary J. Blige. Together, they form a dynamic quintet that combines old-school roots with a contemporary twist – merging influences from Earth, Wind & Fire, Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, OneRepublic, and Paramore into a compelling sound that is distinctly their own.

“We want those who are just discovering us to really feel the pure essence of passion and love through our music,” the band shares with Atwood Magazine. “We’ve all come from diverse backgrounds, but collectively, ‘One & Only’ reflects all of us combined.”

Crafted over multiple sessions – from Harv’s studio to a trip in Palm Springs – and stitched together through contributions from each member, "One & Only" narrates a love story that is as timeless as its melody. The song encapsulates a euphoric sense of affection and longing, weaving a narrative of celestial attraction with smooth vocals and soul-stirring instrumentals.

“‘Cause you came from the sky

      Ooh, ooh, ooh

      Something fell from outer space

Something got me all in, all in

I dream about it all day, all day, all day.”

“We're describing this exquisite woman who is so unique she must have come from outer space because she’s divine,” the band elaborates. “Her essence is pure and mesmerizing.”

However, the song goes beyond its enticing lyrics; it serves as a mission statement: A bold unveiling of We the Band's soulful vision and ambitious goals.

“We want the audience to experience authentic love, true passion, genuine musicianship, real instruments, and overall legitimate songs,” they explain. “We aim to bring back that special magic and raise the bar.”

That magic wasn't created overnight. The group’s origins trace back to 2009, when Harv and Tay James first joined Bieber's team. After Harv took on the role of musical director in 2015, he brought in Stixx, Julian, and Dr. O, ultimately forming the core quintet. Their bond deepened through rehearsals, soundchecks, and sold-out shows. “Working with JB for the past decade and a half has sharpened our live performance skills and allowed us to build connections and a dedicated fan base. We are incredibly grateful for that opportunity.”

“Tell me, tell me, where you from?

I think you might be the one

      Shinin’ like the morning sun

      Shine bright like

Chase you down, around the world

You got to be in the galaxy to separate you from me

      Ooh, ooh, ooh

      Something fell from outer space

Something got me all in, all in

I dream about it all day, all day, all day.”

"One & Only" marks We the Band’s first release – yet it doesn’t feel like just a debut. It signifies the culmination of a long-awaited journey.

And there’s a lot more to come. This debut single
