South Korean group TOMORROW X TOGETHER – consisting of SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN, and HUENINGKAI – have released their fourth album, ‘The Star Chapter: TOGETHER’, along with the visual for its lead single ‘Beautiful Strangers’.
This 8-track collection marks the first album from the quintet since ‘The Name Chapter: FREEFALL’ was released in October 2023. Described as the culmination of ‘The Star Chapter’ narrative, the album conveys a story about rescuing each other and the world through the act of calling out each other's names.
The lead single ‘Beautiful Strangers’ features a dreamy piano melody contrasted with synthesizer sounds. Built on trap beats, this pop-oriented rap track combines catchy melodies with harsh instrumentation.
The accompanying video artistically captures TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s transformation from a past self saved by ‘you’ to someone who now aims to save ‘you’, illustrating the evolution within ‘The Star Chapter’ story.
For the first time since their debut in 2019, TOMORROW X TOGETHER includes solo tracks from all members in a group album. Each song reflects the individual emotions and viewpoints of the five members on the theme of ‘togetherness.’
The group's 4th Mini Album ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’ debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and remained on the chart for 14 weeks, while their 5th Mini Album ‘The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION’, released in 2023, debuted at the top of the chart. The band made history as the first K-pop group to perform at LOLLAPALOOZA in Chicago, returning in August 2023 to become the first K-pop group to headline the festival.
