London-based experimental artist feeo is back with a new single, ‘The Mountain,’ released through AD 93.
This self-produced track offers a stark array of drone, ambient, and vibrant dance music that gradually builds to a subdued climax – both intimate and expansive.
feeo describes ‘The Mountain’ as a depiction of “solitude, where the narrator reflects on her surroundings, portraying an idealized natural world characterized by a simple hierarchy and contrasting states that are simultaneously harsh and serene, nurturing yet destructive.”
feeo is the solo endeavor of vocalist, songwriter, and artist Theodora Laird. Central to the project is song and narrative, through which she aims to explore the feedback and tension between micro and macro storytelling.
To date, feeo has independently released three solo EPs, contributed her vocals to the Loraine James track ‘For You and I’, and has performed alongside artists like Mica Levi, Tirzah, Contour, Lol K, and John T. Gast.
