Ela Minus has released a compilation titled ‘QQQQ (Remixes)’.

The Colombian electronic artist debuted her new album, ‘DÍA’, through Domino earlier this year. The album received enthusiastic acclaim, with Clash commenting at the time:

By looking within to explore the outside world, she spent three years crafting her new material, ultimately feeling her lyrics needed to dig deeper. She ventured into new realms, both physically and emotionally, gathering insights from self-discovery and re-evaluating her words to convey what she had learned.

Available now, ‘QQQQ (Remixes)’ sees Ela Minus revisiting a significant aspect of the album, while also featuring extended club mixes by South Florida electronic producer Nick León.

      Ela reflects…

“Nick’s remixes feel like a partnership. It’s the first time I’ve been so involved in a remix of my music. We exchanged versions back and forth. From this process, two mixes emerged: a straightforward extended club mix (which the original always intended) and a beat-less rendition we named ‘Apocalypto remix’. I also recorded a live version of the song. After performing it live, something new sparked in it, or in me when I play it, so I included a fresh live recording in this EP.”

Don’t miss Ela Minus at Lost Village and End Of The Road Festival this summer.

Additionally, the Irish punk band Adore has unveiled their new single, 'Sweet Keith'.

The group has announced its debut EP, titled ‘BITER’, set to be released on September 26th through Big Scary Monsters. This new project is already making waves within Ireland's tightly-knit music scene. Characterized by sharp riffs and thought-provoking lyrics, Adore presents a confrontational approach that remains grounded in joy.

The ‘BITER’ EP was produced by Daniel Fox, the bassist of Gilla Band, with vocalist Lara Minchin describing it as a collection of songs that “chronicle a lengthy lesson in being loud and pushing back.”

Their latest single, ‘Sweet Keith’, captures a particular kind of straightforwardness, functioning as a brief yet captivating narrative.

Regarding the song, Lara Minchin shares...

‘Sweet Keith’ is a refreshingly sincere and straightforward track. One of my closest friends remarked on how many of my friends have widely spaced eyes, likening this feature to ‘prey’ eyes in the animal kingdom. She further expressed her belief that many of my friends share this trait, which my brain translated as being gentle and safe, in contrast to predators that typically have their eyes positioned at the front of their heads.

‘Sweet Keith’ expresses my affection for my friends and my appreciation for their authenticity, energy, and stories. It’s one of my favorite songs to perform live, and within the EP, it marks the beginning of what's to come for Adore. Sweet Keith symbolizes all the people I cherish in one name, and when we perform it live with friends in the audience, I feel like it’s a tribute to them.

Tune in now.
