Set to release on September 19th, Joan Shelley has announced her upcoming album ‘Real Warmth’.
This album marks her first release since the highly praised 2022 album ‘The Spur’, and it has been produced by Ben Whiteley, the bassist for The Weather Station and Jake Xerxes Fussell.
‘Real Warmth’ features 13 tracks and is available for pre-order online now.
Reflecting on the title, Joan Shelley explains: “The warmth of real human connections: a sense of connection and belonging as opposed to the facades we present to one another, both in-person and in the emotionless digital realm; a genuine, human warmth contrasted with performative or superficial kindness, where love is often limited to one's own circle, allowing for significant suffering in others. It’s a tremendous effort to continue loving people in this time and place; the true warmth of our planet and the urgency of our era. We must find ways to protect the delicate world and its gentle inhabitants; seeking harmony amid extremes.”
The new single ‘Everybody’ is currently available – listen now.
