NewDad presents a touching new preview of ‘Altar’ titled ‘Pretty’.

NewDad has provided another preview of what to anticipate from their upcoming second album, which is titled ‘Altar’ and is set to be released on September 19th through Atlantic Records. The new single ‘Pretty’ is the fourth track to be unveiled from the album (following ‘Roobosh’, ‘Puzzle’, and ‘Entertainer’, the latter two of which were also featured on the band's May EP ‘Safe’), and it is a heartfelt, dreamy piece that delves into the band's profound love for their hometown of Galway. Frontwoman Julie Dawson explained, “‘Pretty’ offers a lighter take on a central theme of the album: homesickness. It was my way of showcasing my affection for Galway—it's really a love song.” She continued, “Arriving in a chaotic and overwhelming place like London made me value the tranquility of home even more. The landscape there, with its vast open fields and empty roads, is incredibly soothing, and I adore it. That’s what inspired this song.” You can watch the video for ‘Pretty,’ which is set and filmed in Galway, below. Currently, NewDad is in the U.S. performing a series of shows, but they will return closer to home for a headline tour across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe this autumn.
