Beloved Australian singer-songwriter Stella Donnelly has returned with her first new music in three years, following the release of her second album, 'Flood,' in 2022. She is unveiling a pair of subtle yet impactful singles, titled 'Baths' and 'Standing Ovation,' as she re-enters the music scene after a period of rest and reflection. Stella mentioned, "It felt like the right time for a reset, creatively, personally, and professionally," while discussing her new collaboration with Dot Dash Recordings. "I’m incredibly thankful to have found a team that truly believes in the music and has given me the freedom to explore what this next chapter entails. I felt very much at home right from the start!" If the breathtaking 'Baths' is any indication, this new phase will be defined by her signature captivating vocals and deep emotional resonance. Elaborating on its inspirations, she shared: “I came up with this melody while swimming laps at Brunswick Baths; the sound from the pool filter created a hum on one note, allowing me to sing a melody over it. This continued when I got home and took a shower with the bathroom fan on. Both situations made it challenging to jot down lyrics. Eventually, I sat at a keyboard, held a note, and everything just fell into place. It’s like a little timeline of my life so far.” You can watch the video for 'Baths' and revisit our review of Stella’s 2019 debut, 'Beware Of The Dogs,' below.
