Gordi's "Like Plasticine" Illustrates a Quest for Understanding

      Australian alt-pop sensation returns...

Gordi makes her comeback with the captivating new album ‘Like Plasticine.’

Released now, the record was created during the height of the pandemic while Gordi was employed in a medical ward in Australia. Experiencing the pandemic firsthand prompted her to reassess her relationship with art.

Encouraged by the success of her earlier work – her album ‘Our Two Skins’ won an AIR Award – Gordi delved deeply into a transformative journey.

Earlier this year, a series of new singles marked her progress. Gordi is viewed as a thoughtful artist with a purposeful voice, striving for her work to resonate in her own life and that of others.

The new album ‘Like Plasticine’, available now, reflects this adaptable phase in her life. Gordi celebrated its release with a full moon concert at MCA’s Full Bloom event in Sydney, with the iconic Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge providing a breathtaking backdrop.

      Regarding the album, Gordi shares…

“Today, as I finally unleash this album, I am reminded of its origins. Deep in the heart of the pandemic, I started composing the songs that would become ‘Like Plasticine’, pondering what music truly means. I aimed to stop overthinking and simply feel. Looking back at that period now, sitting in Phoenix Central Park surrounded by elements I could create music from, I envision ‘Like Plasticine’ emerging as if a fire hydrant bursting open. Everything we try to confine ultimately comes out in some form. So when you listen to this record, unbind yourself, cease thinking, and just feel.”

      Tune in now.
