A new chapter is beginning for the British artist.
TEED (formerly known as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs) returns with a two-track digital single – ‘Desire’ and ‘The Echo’ – marking a new phase in Orlando Higginbottom's artistic journey.
The vibrant synth-pop track ‘Desire’ highlights Higginbottom’s distinctive falsetto. “I’m looking for love in your arms tonight / Is it too late?” he asks in a song that evokes the imagery of a picturesque nighttime drive. “In that song, I’m longing for connection at the world’s end,” he elaborates.
This release is accompanied by ‘The Echo’ – an energetic, Eurotrance-inspired club anthem that captures the spirited vibe of TEED’s earlier works.
This double release signifies a fresh project where Higginbottom is rediscovering the joy in creating music. Since his last album, he has purposefully shifted his approach—distancing music from industry distractions, finding enjoyment in songwriting, and redefining his view of success.
“It’s not nostalgia per se,” he comments on the new music, “it’s more about reinterpreting the memories of how music once made me feel, from where I stand now.”
“Creating and sharing music is an expression of hope,” he adds. “And hope serves as a form of resistance.” Tune in now.
