S. Carey will be releasing his new EP ‘Watercress’ on October 3rd.
The songwriter's 2022 album ‘Break Me Open’ paved the way for new directions, and S. Carey is now creating something fresh.
Based in Eau Claire, WI, the new EP ‘Watercress’ was developed with collaborators Zach Hanson and Brian Joseph, and features guest vocals from Gia Margaret and Hannah Hebl.
Set to drop on October 3rd via Jagjaguwar, this four-track project is anchored by the poignant title track, a song deeply connected to his roots.
To achieve a fresh and vibrant sound, ‘Watercress’ comes with a reflective video, directed by Kyle Lehman, set against the stunning landscapes of northern Wisconsin.
S. Carey reflects…
The music video for the title track, ‘Watercress’, gave me chills during my first viewing. Filmed in Northwest Wisconsin, my home, the visuals showcase both close-up and expansive views of the enchanting woods and waters that reveal their charm upon closer inspection. Much like a forest that has been cut or burned down, we all hold the capacity to regenerate with appropriate care.
Tune in now.
