The Path of 8: A Comeback to Identity

Each of us is multi-faceted. When I tap into my higher mind – perhaps it’s my higher self, or simply the part of me that finally recalls what truly matters – I often find myself listening to Fia.

There is a specific song of hers, "A Journey Unfolding," that made me pause in my tracks when I first heard it. It was not merely a song; it served as a reflection, a guide, and a recollection of something I had spent most of my life neglecting.

What I've come to understand is this: it took me 57 years to genuinely feel at home in my own skin. Not the version that performs, nor the one that pitches or presents to fit in, but the one that exhaled and declared: Here I am. This is truly me.

The journey of WeAre8 mirrors this experience. It’s not just a story about technology or business; it’s about becoming. WeAre8 emerged from the same yearning I have felt for decades – the desire to be seen, heard, valued, and understood. The desire to create something that reflected not only what I do but also who I am.

For a long time, like many of us, I conformed to systems that overlooked my existence. I followed rules I did not establish. I witnessed power becoming centralized while community diminished. I observed platforms taking our time, our voices, and our economic opportunities under the guise of “connection.”

Yet, there was always something else beneath the surface, a quiet voice that whispers: There’s another way. A gentler way. A braver way. A more authentic way. Fia sings: “I trust the unfolding… I let go of what’s not mine…”

That encapsulates the spirit of WeAre8. We created it not as a response to what is broken, but as an affirmation of what is possible. It is a platform where small actions hold great significance. Where you are not performing for an algorithm, but expressing from your soul. Where your attention is valued, where your presence counts, and where the collective is mightier than the few.

The true revolution is not loud; it doesn’t demand likes. It quietly invites you to come home. And after 57 years, I finally arrived there. I released what wasn’t mine, stopped pursuing perfection, and chose peace. I shifted from building for scale to building for truth.

This is a journey of unfolding, and it is not a straight path. There are no direct routes or quick victories. There is only breath, choice, and the act of returning. So if you are reading this and feel as though you are still on a quest, know that you are not behind or lost. You, too, are simply unfolding.

We are all evolving. Embracing every version of ourselves is essential. If WeAre8 represents anything, it is a space that supports that evolution – for the gentle, the courageous, and the authentic.

The journey of WeAre8 is our shared journey, and we are just beginning.
