Saint Jude has unveiled a new song titled ‘Hold Tight London.’
With a songwriting voice full of impact, Saint Jude has always drawn inspiration from his environment. The latest track ‘Hold Tight London’ celebrates this connection – it reflects on London, the ever-changing city, and the transformations it has undergone throughout his life.
As a city in constant change, the alterations brought about by gentrification have completely transformed certain areas, yet the essence of London endures.
‘Hold Tight London’ illustrates Saint Jude’s ability to create a vivid world, as he taps into the city’s unyielding spirit.
“This song serves as a way for me to channel some of the nostalgia I’ve been experiencing – especially for a bygone version of my city – the London of 10-15 years back,” Jude reflects on the new release. “London has been a recurring theme in my writing, particularly during my younger years. I felt a lingering sense that the city was evolving in a manner that could leave me behind, which influenced my songwriting. Currently, London feels like a difficult place to inhabit. There is so much that is being lost and altered.”
Additionally, Saint Jude has announced two intimate headline performances at London’s Avalon Cafe on November 12th and 25th.
