Brazilian-Norwegian composer, producer, and vocalist Charlotte Dos Santos makes her long-anticipated comeback with ‘Pot of Gold’, her first release since 2022. This single is a tranquil, jazz-influenced piece that showcases her talent for merging complex musicianship with personal and intimate songwriting.
Recorded live to analog tape in Oslo, the track emphasizes Dos Santos’ dedication to organic instrumentation, fusing sharp percussion and melodic guitar with her unique vocal style. Drawing from her Brazilian roots and jazz influences, the new single embodies a raw immediacy that distinguishes it within contemporary R&B and soul.
Since her breakthrough debut EP ‘Cleo’ in 2017, Dos Santos has established herself as one of the most adaptable and independent voices in her genre. Her 2022 album ‘Morfo’ earned a Norwegian Grammy (Spellemannprisen) for Best R&B/soul album, contributing to a career that boasts critical acclaim, over 26 million streams, and a performance on COLORS.
‘Pot of Gold’ not only marks Dos Santos’ return but also reflects a renewed dedication to creativity as she continues to blur the lines between jazz, soul, and R&B. This single sets the stage for what is expected to be an exciting new chapter in her career, with more releases anticipated in the coming months.
