Musician, producer, and storyteller Jairic has released his striking new single, ‘Don’t Let Me Put A Track On You’, which officially debuted on September 5th through Rich Air Music.
The track showcases the Detroit-born, Cannes-based artist as he further develops his genre-blending style. This bold hip-hop piece encapsulates Jairic’s fearless spirit. It starts on an intense, evocative note and then transitions into a whirlwind of controlled chaos, characterized by pointed lyricism and impressive sound design. A serene bridge, enhanced by female vocals, provides a fleeting moment of relief before the track plunges back into its assertive tone.
Reflecting on the release, Jairic shares: “I composed this in the south of France. There’s a Caribbean rhythm pulsating underneath – smooth and captivating – yet the lyrics carry a heavier message. I relish that contrast: bright on the top, with a sharp undercurrent.”
Jairic is a self-sufficient artist; each of his releases is self-written, self-produced, and self-performed, accompanied by visuals that blend contemporary luxury with an underground vibe. His growing acclaim has led to performances in France, Italy, Prague, and the U.S., accumulating nearly 2 million streams thus far.
Notable performances include shows at Château Les Alouettes in Cannes and Villa Balbiano on Lake Como, as well as a live appearance during the Paris premiere of the short film ‘Azur.’
With ‘Don’t Let Me Put A Track On You’, Jairic continues to establish himself as one of the most compelling independent voices in rap.
