Building excitement for their eagerly awaited second album, The Last Diner Party has announced a 35-date headline tour.
The tour will kick off at Dublin’s 3Arena, with the UK quintet slated to perform throughout the UK, Europe, and Australia, accompanied by yet-to-be-revealed special guests.
Since their debut in 2021, the band has approached indie rock with a theatrical flair, showcasing their talents as exceptional vocalists and lyricists who navigate the realms of the past, present, and future. Their album ‘Prelude To Ecstasy’ released last year propelled them into the limelight with a stunning array of tracks blending glam rock, baroque, and pop-infused anthems.
After a series of sold-out shows at London’s Eventim Apollo and having won two BRIT Awards, The Last Dinner Party is embarking on a new chapter. Set to release on October 17th, their new album ‘From The Pyre’ highlights their collaborative work with Grammy Award-winning producer Markus Dravs, exploring darker and more complex themes in their songwriting.
Regarding their upcoming album, The Last Dinner Party states: “This record comprises a collection of stories, unified by the concept of album-as-mythos. ‘The Pyre’ represents an allegorical origin for these narratives, a site of violence and destruction, yet also of regeneration, passion, and light. The songs are driven by characters while remaining deeply personal, depicting everyday events taken to pathological extremes. Experiences such as being ghosted transform into a western dance with a killer; heartbreak confronts the apocalypse. The lyrics reference rifles, scythes, sailors, saints, cowboys, floods, Mother Earth, Joan of Arc, and raging infernos. We discovered that such vivid imagery is the most genuine way to express how our experiences felt, giving each the emotional significance it merits.”
Tickets will be available for general sale starting at 10 am local time on Friday, September 12th. Fans who pre-order the album from the official store here will gain access to the tour pre-sale.
