glaive Reveals Upcoming Album ‘Y’ALL’

      North Carolina future-pop artist glaive has announced his album ‘Y’ALL’, scheduled for release on September 26th.

      ‘Y’ALL’ narrates the story of a teenager uprooted from his origins, who returns to his North Carolina hometown as a vastly transformed individual in an unchanged environment.

      glaive captured his origin story with the lead single ‘asheville’, a fragmented, digital-centric dance track, followed by ‘appalachia’, a mesmerizing showcase of building tension and resolution.

      With tracks like ‘veni vidi vici’, the reggaeton-tinged ‘nouveau riche’, and the mind-bending trance piece ‘foreigner’, ‘Y’ALL’ stands as glaive’s most dance-oriented and maximalist project thus far.

      His second studio album from last year, ‘May It Never Falter’, began a new independent phase in his artistic journey. Collaborating closely with a tight-knit group of creatives, including John Cunningham (XXXTENTACION, Kanye West), Ralph Castelli (Dora Jar, The Neighbourhood), and Jeff Hazin (Kali Uchis, renforshort), the album presented a coming-of-age story set against the themes of adolescence and self-exploration.
