As they prepare to release their second album ‘Caramel’ on September 26th through Chess Club Records, the Isle of Wight band Coach Party has collaborated with Izzy B Phillips of Black Honey for their new single ‘Disco Dream.’ Opening with full force, this track follows the similarly vibrant songs ‘Do It For Love,’ ‘Girls!,’ and ‘Do Yourself A Favour’ as the fourth release from ‘Caramel,’ focusing on transforming anger into a liberating physical expression. Coach Party’s lead vocalist Jess Eastwood described ‘Disco Dream’ as “a solo riot that simply wants to hit the dance floor.” She continued, “It's rage you can dance to—about accepting loneliness and making it your own. It’s a self-love anthem that also represents self-sabotage at its peak, being so determined to stand alone that you inadvertently push others away. We aimed for it to feel fierce, somewhat broken, and entirely unrepentant.” Discussing her participation, Izzy, who has recently released Black Honey’s fourth album, ‘Soak,’ remarked: “I enjoy writing with a similar ‘but different’ vibe as it allows me to see myself through a new perspective. The solo party theme of the song resonates with me.” Check out the visually captivating visualizer for ‘Disco Dream’ here:
