Girls Can’t Sync have unveiled their plans for their first EP titled ‘Code Orange’.
The quartet – Gaia, Hannah, Sophia, and Matty – came together in Liverpool just prior to the pandemic and have emerged as a formidable female presence in UK dance music. They are boldly addressing club culture, promoting an energetic and uplifting perspective that celebrates various strands of UK dance production, influences from the Black diaspora, South Asian elements, and the rebellious spirit of underground raves.
After an exhilarating summer filled with back-to-back performances, Girls Can’t Sync are channeling their vibrant energy into the autumn season.
Their latest single ‘Workin’ With’ has been released, allowing Girls Can’t Sync to fully delve into UK garage while also incorporating their own distinct ideas into the track.
This single precedes their debut EP, which will be named ‘Code Orange’ – more details to come soon.
Regarding their new track, the four-member group states...
“This song is really about us asserting our control as artists and establishing a clear identity, literally sampling ourselves and blending that with the sounds and inspirations we’ve always embraced. It’s a track with specific directions, which has become a recurring theme in our music, designed to energize dance floors and attract the attention of our community, listeners, and fellow artists.”
